Private enforcement: How to pursue claims on account of breach of competition law and how to defend oneself against the possible claims - legal and economic reasons,

which will take place on 26 October 2016 in Warsaw.
 
The aim of the workshop is to present to the managerial staff of enterprises from various industrial sectors the problems associated with claims on account of breach of competition law, taking into account, inter alia, and the necessity to implement into the Polish legal system, by the end of this year, Directive 2014/104/EU regulating the aforementioned issues in detail. 

Key topics will cover:
  • the possible legal actions to pursue claims on account of breach of competition law and to defend oneself against such claims, on the grounds of the current provisions of Polish law and after the implementation of the Directive, and
  • the use of economic analysis to substantiate claims on account of breach of competition law and to defend oneself against such claims.

The analysis of the topic from an economic and legal point of view aims at making it easier for managerial staff to identify to potential claims they may file against others participants to the market and the possible risk of such claims being filed against them, and in each case to determine the appropriate strategy.
